RICHFIELD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Interstate-sponsored 8k & 1 Mile race on Saturday, June 24, 2017 gets the 2017 Akron Children’s Hospital Akron Marathon Race Series off and running. The course, supporting both runners and walkers, offers a unique tour of downtown Akron, finishing inside InfoCision Stadium. First-rate runner premiums, after-party with live music, food and 20 craft beer options await runners and supporters at the finish line.
The Akron Marathon Race Series is a major fundraiser for Akron Children’s Hospital in its efforts to serve the children and families of Summit County, Ohio, where National Interstate maintains its corporate headquarters. This sponsorship recognizes the Company’s commitment to health and fitness and employee engagement. Many National Interstate employees, friends and family members participate in the races, volunteer during the event and enjoy the entertainment activities.
The “Hero Zones” return this year, recognizing children who have faced and overcome a difficult illness.
