Senate Candidate Dom Gentile Calls for Debate – Releases Poll That Shows Him in Dead Heat with Roy Moore and Mo Brooks

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--A recent survey shows Senate candidate Dom Gentile is in third place close behind Mo Brooks and Roy Moore in a social media poll released today by his campaign. Luther Strange is in fourth place in spite of spending millions on advertising. The poll was conducted statewide from June 3 - 5 on Facebook, with 352 responses, 703 post engagements, and it reached more than 9,917 people. Of those post engagements 295 were women and 408 were men. The poll asked “Who would you choose?” in the upcoming senate primary. The top 5 were:

  • 25% - Mo Brooks
  • 21.6% - Roy Moore
  • 20.7% - Dom Gentile
  • 17% - Luther Strange
  • 7.7% - Tripp Pittman

The ages of those engaged with the poll broke down as follows:

  • Ages 18-24, 5%
  • Ages 25-34, 4%
  • Ages 35-44, 10%
  • Ages 45-54, 18%
  • Ages 55-64, 32%
  • Over 65 – 30%

Gentile is calling for a debate of all the candidates prior to the Aug. 15 election.

“The people want to hear where the candidates stand on the issues,” said Gentile. “And, they are also sick of not being heard by establishment politicians. Right now, the power in our state lies with politicians, lobbyists and insiders. My campaign is about plugging the power cord into the people and letting them be heard. The people deserve to hear the candidates face off.”
