WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that Gretchen Carlson, recently named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2017, will speak during a keynote session on Tuesday, September 26 at the 2017 WICT Leadership Conference, in New York at the Marriott Marquis.
Carlson's new book, Be Fierce: Stop Harassment and Take Your Power Back, gives a voice to women around the world who have been silenced by harassment and intimidation, inspiring them to reclaim their power against injustice. The first 500 registrants of the WICT Leadership Conference will receive a voucher that entitles them to a complimentary copy of Gretchen's book when it is released in October.
Carlson is one of the nation’s most successful and recognized news anchors as well as an advocate for workplace equality. In 2016, she became the face of sexual harassment in the workplace, gracing the cover of TIME Magazine and standing strong in her determination to promote a safe working environment for all women. As a result of her experiences, Carlson created the Gift of Courage Fund, a foundation designed to empower young girls.
