This marks the first year the Congress will take place on the East and West Coast

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--The 16th Annual International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® will soon take place on the east and west coasts for the first time ever. The west coast meeting will take place from July 14-15 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina in California, with the east coast meeting one week later, July 21-22, at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan in New York City. Both conferences will offer Maintenance of Certification and CME credits to attendees.

Joyce O’Shaughnessy, M.D., of Texas Oncology-Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center, and Sara Hurvitz, M.D., of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, will co-chair International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® West, with Dr. O’Shaughnessy then going on to chair International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® East.

In making the announcement, Phil Talamo, president of PER®, said, “We are honored to be joined by Dr. O’Shaughnessy and Dr. Hurvitz, and we look forward to collaboratively discussing advances in the field and addressing concerns currently faced by patients and doctors.”

The International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® serves as an update on advances in the breast cancer field with a focus on the clinical implications of breast cancer genetic and phenotypic subtyping. Novel agents, strategies, and improved regimens are changing the future of breast cancer therapy, and these advances and their clinical impact are highlighted throughout the program. The format will also provide a unique opportunity for oncologists and other healthcare professionals to interact with industry experts.
