The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Seagate Technology plc (NASDAQ: STX), Steve Luczo, issued the following statement today expressing concern over the United States’ withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. Mr. Luczo has also been a member of the board of directors of the World Wildlife Fund for the past seven years.

“Seagate will continue to support the ideas and principles outlined in the Paris Agreement. A global response to climate change is required, as inaction will be clearly detrimental to humanity and all living species. We will not abdicate our responsibility to lead in this important effort.”
