CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlantic Capital Bank (NASDAQ: ACBI) has another addition in the Greater Charlotte region: Tim Elleby, an Air Force veteran who has more than 25 years of banking experience, is among the new hires in May.
Elleby will be a Senior Vice President in Corporate Banking serving the Greater Charlotte region. He will be responsible for building relationships and providing thoughtful solutions for emerging growth and mid-market, privately held businesses across the region.
“I’m excited to be a part of the next chapter of banking in the Carolinas,” Elleby said. “Businesses across the Carolinas will be for the better because of Atlantic Capital, and I look forward to writing that story for our clients.”
Before joining the Atlantic Capital team, Elleby’s 25 years were spent at First Union, Wachovia and Wells Fargo in various positions, including Business Banking Manager and Market President of Cabarrus and Stanly Counties. Elleby has an extensive background in serving mid-market clients’ capital, cash management and other financial management needs.
Prior to his 25 year banking career, Elleby spent eight years in the United States Air Force. He served his country with distinction across the world, including Japan and South Korea.
Mark DeMarcus, Atlantic Capital Bank Carolinas Market President, said Elleby is an experienced corporate banker who has a long tenure and deep ties within the Greater Charlotte market’s mid-sized companies.
“Tim is an exceptionally talented corporate banker,” DeMarcus said. “His tenacity, discipline and seasoned approach will go a long way to help our clients see their bottom lines increase.”
Elleby holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from North Carolina Central University.
Elleby is widely involved in the community, sitting on the governing boards of Cabarrus College of Health Sciences and the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Foundation Board.
