BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iZotope, Inc. has been selected as the winner in the category of Best B2C Technology for the 2017 MITX Awards for Neutron, the company’s mixing plug-in geared toward simplifying and enhancing the mixing process. Other finalists in the category included Cantina, iRobot and Rue La La.
The MITX Awards show is the largest and most prestigious annual awards competition in the country for technology and digital innovation. The categories in this year’s program showcase the disruptive marketing, creative, and emerging technologies happening in New England. Winners were announced in 24 categories at a sold-out event held on May 25th at Royale Boston.
Released in October 2016, Neutron is a software product for musicians and other creatives working in the fields of film, TV, and new media. With Neutron, iZotope introduces a new mixing paradigm by providing music producers and audio post professionals with a smarter way to mix. The advanced technology within the software has an intelligence that isn’t the standard, one-size-fits-all mixing solution found in the audio tech market — Neutron is smart, but the user still in charge.
“With industry first features like Track Assistant and Masking Meter, Neutron enhances the art of mixing for creative professionals, which in turn benefits the quality of the film, TV, and music that we all listen to,” says Gerry Caron, Chief Product Officer, iZotope. “We’re humbled by the acknowledgment, and are excited to bring audio tech to the MITX stage. Thank you to our community members and the MITX Awards for this honor.”
“This year’s entries exemplified the curious intellect that drives innovation in Boston,” said Amy Quigley, President of MITX. “It was an exciting evening marking 21 years of creativity and industry leading ideas in technology. I was overwhelmed by the energy.”
