28th Annual American Express Restaurant Trade Program

American Express is also providing restaurateurs an exclusive forum to exchange ideas and learn from each other at the American Express Restaurant Trade Program. Now in its 28th year, the American Express Restaurant Trade Program is an exclusive feature of the FOOD & WINE Classic that includes insightful panel discussions with established chefs and restaurant operators as well as rising talent in the culinary world. This year’s trade program takes place Thursday, June 15th to Saturday, June 17th, with panel discussions being held at the Hotel Jerome in downtown Aspen.

“Supporting and enabling growth for the restaurant industry is a constant focus for American Express,” said Gunther Bright, Executive Vice President, Merchant Services – U.S., American Express. “Through our strong relationships with Card Members, partnerships with cutting-edge technology players, marketing expertise and business insights, we help restaurant leaders expand their businesses and reach new customers. The Restaurant Trade Program is another key way that we deliver the resources and knowledge that can help contribute to restaurateurs remaining competitive and thrive.”

According to the recently released 2017 American Express Restaurant Trade Survey, more than half of restaurant owners and managers say their revenue has increased from a year ago. The trade program will address many of these issues head-on. Attendees will hear from Andrew Zimmern, Co-Creator & Co-ProducerBizarre Foods on Travel Channel; Danny Meyer, CEO, Union Square Hospitality Group; Anya Fernald, Co-founder and CEO, Belcampo; Alon Shaya, Executive Chef and Partner, Domenica, Pizza Domenica, and Shaya; and many more.
