LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it has released its first television commercial that illustrates infrastructure’s power to connect communities. Filmed by acclaimed director John Singleton and created by the L.A. advertising agency Battery, the ad is part of a new AECOM campaign that focuses on the human impact of its clients' projects: Imagine it. Delivered.
The commercial, which begins airing today, was filmed over two days in Los Angeles and tells the story of a young surfer from South L.A. who embarks on an early morning journey via the L.A. Metro to enjoy the Santa Monica beach at sunrise. The ad shows how access to infrastructure, made possible by AECOM’s global network of professionals, can transform communities by connecting individuals to the people and places they love. In addition to AECOM’s work with L.A. Metro, the firm’s substantial portfolio of iconic infrastructure projects includes Olympic games across the world, One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the record-breaking Taizhou Bridge in China.
“We are delighted to have partnered with iconic director John Singleton on our first television commercial, spotlighting how we collaborate with our clients, like L.A. Metro, to deliver innovative solutions for their most complex challenges,” said Michael S. Burke, AECOM chairman and chief executive officer. “Coinciding with a growing demand for more efficient approaches to infrastructure delivery, we are proud to share our story of bringing an unparalleled range of disciplines together to realize the most visionary projects in the world."
"AECOM brings the best minds together to spark better ideas, connect neighborhoods and create opportunity,” said Heather Rim, AECOM chief marketing and communications officer. “This innovative spirit is captured in our commercial and new tagline, Imagine it. Delivered. Both a call-to-action and a promise to our clients, it says bring us your impossible and we're here to make it a reality."
“This project was an opportunity to tell a story about a person in motion with emotion,” said John Singleton, an Academy Award-nominated director. “Los Angeles is a metropolis waiting to happen and infrastructure is key to help link everyone together. I look forward to seeing how the new train networks will help bridge communities across the L.A. metro area.”
