SYRACUSE, N.Y. and MCLEAN, Va.--()--Travelers who seek independent, reliable hotels who also appreciate the benefits of an award-winning loyalty program now have the option of a charming new respite in the heart of Syracuse with the conversion of the first hotel into Hilton’s vibrant, upscale collection brand – Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Hotel Skyler Syracuse, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is an eclectic, 58-room University Hill hotel within walking distance of many attractions, including Syracuse University, Carrier Dome and Upstate University Hospital. Built in 1922 to house the Temple Adath Yeshurun congregation, and later home to Salt City Center for the Performing Arts, the eco-friendly hotel was the city’s first to achieve LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Building Communities inside and outside of the Hotel

The brand is also celebrating the launch of its partnership with Youth Service America. The organizations have aligned to support young people through the #LeadASAP Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts Campaign, which will activate youth to use their “spark” for the arts to improve their communities.

#LeadASAP Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts grants will be awarded in or around Tapestry Collection hotel locations, and all project ideas should fall into the categories of either Awareness, Service, Advocacy or Philanthropy (ASAP). Beginning June 12, 2017, youth ages 12-25 who are interested in supporting the Syracuse-area can visit YSA.org/TapestryCollection for more information and to submit their application.
