DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Omni Hotels & Resorts today announced it has permanently extended its Say Goodnight to Hunger program to meeting planners who book a meeting or event at any one of its 60 properties in North America. Since June 2016, for every direct booking made on OmniHotels.com, the luxury hotel brand has made a donation to Feeding America that feeds a family of four dinner as part of the Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative.
For all future group rooms booked, regardless of how the reservation is made, Omni will contribute one meal per room night. Therefore, if a group or association books 100 rooms for four nights, Omni will donate 400 meals to Feeding America through its Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative. This new donation to Feeding America is in addition to the donation Omni makes when a guest books directly on OmniHotels.com.
“In November of last year, for a limited time, we opened the Say Goodnight to Hunger program to our meeting planners who booked meetings and events at our properties and wanted to be part of the campaign,” said Peter Strebel, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of sales for Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We received a lot of feedback that Say Goodnight to Hunger should be permanently extended to groups, as many are looking for ways to be involved in the communities where they are holding their meetings and events. Say Goodnight to Hunger is the largest campaign launched by a Feeding America hospitality partner. Since the program launched, Omni has provided nearly 8.4 million meals to Feeding America.
