Vizient, Inc. Named “Marketer of the Year” for B to B Branding by Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the American Marketing Association

IRVING, Texas--()--The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the American Marketing Association has recognized Vizient, Inc. as “Marketer of the Year” for business-to-business branding. Vizient, and their marketing agency Golin, received the award at the Dallas/Fort Worth AMA 2017 Marketer of the Year Awards Gala on May 4 at the Doubletree Campbell Centre in Dallas.

The American Marketing Association is one of the largest marketing associations in the world, with over 30,000 members who work, teach and study in the field. The association has 70 chapters across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. The Marketer of the Year Awards recognize excellence in marketing in various categories in the DFW area.

Vizient and Golin were selected for best overall strategy, design and implementation of a new or refreshed brand identity. The marketing effort was completed over the course of 2016 and centered around the integration of four health care performance improvement companies—VHA, Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium, Novation and MedAssets’ Spend and Clinical Resource Management (SCM) business—into a single brand: Vizient.

The intent of the overall brand strategy was to drive differentiation in a crowded market with a purposeful story that both employees and members could relate to and believe in. Additionally, the integration of activities engaged multiple stakeholder groups within a cohesive effort to gain relatively fast familiarity of a new brand and full exposure to the brand story.
