CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AKHAN Semiconductor, a technology company specializing in the fabrication and application of lab-grown, electronics-grade diamonds, announced today that Jeffrey Miller has joined the company as Sales Advisor to the Board. He will be based in AKHAN’s global headquarters in Gurnee, Illinois. Mr. Miller joins AKHAN from Motorola Mobility LLC, where he was Corporate Vice President and General Manager of North American Sales and Operations based in Chicago. During his time with Motorola Mobility, Mr. Miller managed the company’s multi-billion dollar North American P&L, including oversight of business relationships with wireless operators and retailers, while handling global technical sales, and program management. Mr. Miller also currently serves on the Board of Directors for 1871, Chicago’s start-up incubator.
Prior to his most recent role at Motorola, Mr. Miller served in several General Management positions and was responsible for leading Motorola’s Enterprise market segment, Global Strategic Accounts Program and served as the leader of Motorola’s Global eCommerce business.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Miller spent five years with Santa Barbara, CA-based start-up, Somera Communications, as the Executive Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, a company that Mr. Miller took public in 1999. Before Somera, Mr. Miller worked at Motorola, Inc., from 1996-1999 leading sales, engineering, and deployment teams within the Cellular Infrastructure Group. He also has more than 10 years of experience at AT&T, holding various leadership positions in sales management, marketing and product management.
