NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TechCrunch today announced 17 participants will compete in Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch Disrupt New York 2017 . Each year, the conference brings together tech titans, noted thought leaders and experienced entrepreneurs to offer unique insights into industry topics-of-the-moment. At the very heart of TechCrunch Disrupt, Startup Battlefield launches promising, under-the-radar companies to a global audience on tech's biggest stage.
From Monday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 17, Startup Battlefield will gather founders to demo their new, never before seen products in front of a world-class panel of innovators and investors. This year’s Battlefield judges include the best and brightest of the startup and venture world, including Susan Lyne of BBG Ventures, Fritz Lanman of ClassPass, and Karin Klein of Bloomberg Data.

Since appearing on the TechCrunch stage, 648 Battlefield alumni have collectively raised more than $6.9 billion with 95 total exits. Notable competitors that have launched on the Battlefield stage include major brands like Mint, Yammer, Dropbox and Fitbit. The Battlefield winner will be announced at the closing awards ceremony Wednesday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m. ET. The winner walk away with a $50,000 prize and the highly coveted Disrupt Cup.
