Kroll Bond Rating Agency Releases New Methodology for Rating Sovereigns

NEW YORK--()--Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) announces the release of its methodology for rating sovereigns.

The methodology describes KBRA’s process for rating sovereigns both in local and foreign currency. The methodology incorporates an analysis of a sovereign’s macroeconomic performance, government finances, external vulnerability, and structural robustness. Government policies, political and security constraints, financial flexibility, vulnerability to shocks, trend analysis, and peer comparisons are among the factors incorporated in KBRA’s sovereign ratings approach.
