Increasingly sophisticated fraud attacks are the cause of massive revenue loss for service providers

MIAMI--()--iconectiv, an authoritative partner of the global communications industry connecting more than two billion people every day, will host and play a highly visible role during three days of workgroup collaboration between some of the world’s leading network security and anti-fraud experts during GSM Association’s (GSMA) Fraud and Security Group (FASG) meeting in Miami, FL. A leader in telecommunications for over 30 years, iconectiv’s dedication to preserving network integrity and reducing fraud is reflected in a significant speaking presence at the sessions.

  • On Tues., May 9, Scott Puopolo, Executive Vice President of Information Solutions, iconectiv, will kick-off the conference with an opening day welcome address to attendees.
  • Later that morning, John Kimmins, Senior Security Director, iconectiv, and Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council WG10 Co-Chair will present a session focused on current security threats and next generation network technology and services.
  • That afternoon, John Haraburda, Principal Solutions Engineer Director, iconectiv, will provide an overview of numerous types of telecom fraud and ways to detect them as well as discuss the many benefits the latest virtualization technology is bringing to networks.

The GSMA’s Fraud and Security Group (FASG) has been established to drive the industry’s management of fraud and security matters related to GSM technology, networks and services. FASG provides an open, receptive and trusted environment within which fraud and security intelligence and incident details can be shared in a timely and responsible way.

FASG workgroup sessions are held three times per year and only open to GSMA member organizations. For more information, visit: GSMA InfoCentre.
