Cowen Expands International Prime Services Team

Bernard Minsky Appointed Head of Risk Management

NEW YORK--()--Cowen Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:COWN) (“Cowen” or the “Company”) today announced that Bernard Minsky has joined Cowen’s international prime services team as Director and Head of Risk Management.

Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Minsky founded Certior Advisors, a consulting firm providing risk management services to the investment community. Before that, he was the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Callisto Asset Management. Previous to that, Mr. Minsky was the Head of Portfolio Analysis and Risk Management at International Asset Management, a fund of hedge funds manager, and an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs managing the global risk team and prime brokerage in Europe. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was a management consultant specializing in the use of quantitative methods in management and finance. Mr. Minksy received a BSc in Mathematics with Statistics and Economics from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Mathematics from the University of London and is a Chartered Statistician.
