HANOVER, Pa.--()--Utz® Quality Foods, LLC., its owners Mike and Jane Rice and The Independence Corps & Spartan Alliance are pleased to announce the donation of two Action Trackchair’s® to wounded Veterans from the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.

With its outdoor oriented treads, Action’s Trackchair® provides significant mobility for wounded Veterans, giving them the ability to go places where traditional wheel chairs are not capable. Having this ability provides the Veterans with the means to get more control of their lives, including resuming outdoor activities which they enjoyed prior to being injured.

These Trackchair® donations benefited two service members, including: Dustin Tuller of Milton, Florida and Jon Harmon currently at the Walter Reed, National Military Medical Center. The donations were made during a recent inspiring and moving event, held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

“Like all American’s, we appreciate the military service of Dustin Tuller, Jon Harmon and all active and veteran service members,” said Mike Rice, Executive Chairman, Utz® Quality Foods, LLC. “Our hope is that this donation may help them regain mobility they once enjoyed.”

Through their 100% volunteer efforts, the members who make up The Independence Corps & Spartan Alliance have been directly responsible for providing all terrain wheelchairs to more than 1,200 severely injured Veterans.

“We appreciate having Mike and Jane Rice, along with Utz Quality Foods as partners in these recent Trackchair® donations,” said Steve Danyluk, co-President of The Independence Corps. “We hope this donation inspires other like-minded individuals and organizations to help our Veterans in need.”
