SAN MATEO, Calif. & MAIDENHEAD, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Open-source pioneer Alfresco Software today announced significant momentum for its Global Partner Program, with 40 new partners signed in the past 12 months.
Alfresco is also proud to announce that Bob Crissman, vice president of global channel program and sales, has been recognized as a 2017 Channel Chief by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company. The award marks the second consecutive year for the Alfresco sales team to be acknowledged for demonstrating loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.
Further capping off a successful first year since its March 2016 launch, Alfresco’s expanded Global Partner Program achieved a 5-Star rating in CRN’s 2017 Partner Program Guide. This annual guide is the definitive listing of partner programs from technology vendors that provide products and services through the IT channel. The 5-Star Partner Program Guide rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs.

Alfresco’s most significant partner milestones over the past 12 months include:
- Introduction of the Deal Registration program - featuring industry-leading partner incentives, Alfresco’s Deal Registration program (launched in July 2016) has been instrumental to incentivizing partners. Within the first eight months, the program exceeded internal targets by more than 150 percent.
- Strategic technology partnerships – Alfresco has focused additional resources on building key partnerships and technology integrations, such as those with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce.com. For example, in November, Alfresco announced early access availability of its Alfresco platform as a single-tenant managed service hosted in an AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). The Alfresco managed offering provides a robust content-centric platform allowing users to collaborate on business-critical content, with the network isolation and security of a dedicated AWS VPC, without requiring dedicated internal resources for ongoing Alfresco and AWS management. In addition, Alfresco is one of a small number of managed technology partners for AWS.
- Greater investment in technical certifications and partner onboarding – Alfresco increased investment in partner technical and sales training by 400 percent, which included dedicating more time for Alfresco’s systems engineers to work side-by-side with partners. As a result, Alfresco saw a 500 percent increase in technical certifications with partners in the past 12 months.
- Increased use case documentation – Alfresco cataloged over 100 use cases and solutions that partners can use to demonstrate the power of the Alfresco platform to customers. Partners collaborate with Alfresco to address the needs of customers across manufacturing, finance, public sector and healthcare sectors, building industry-specific solutions for their needs.
Alfresco’s expanded Global Partner Program enables system integrators, software vendors, infrastructure providers and resellers to more effectively deploy Alfresco’s open, modern and secure platform to intelligently activate both process and content. Additionally, Alfresco’s Partner Portal provides the ability to sync with Salesforce, lead registration, sales tools, sales and marketing collateral, training information, upcoming events and Alfresco-generated leads.
