Banking and Finance
Prior to joining Gardere’s banking and finance practice, Memory served as assistant general counsel and senior vice president at PlainsCapital Bank. During his tenure, he managed and conducted the organization’s legal affairs, advised C-level executives on corporate regulatory matters and managed the bank’s real estate portfolio. “Brian’s experience as in-house counsel with a major Texas bank will bring excellent insight for our clients,” said Steven S. Camp, head of Gardere’s banking and finance practice. “Our practice group is known for the ability to work with bankers to accomplish their needs. We are pleased to welcome him to the team.”
Gardere’s banking and finance practice group assists public and private entities looking for business guidance with secured and unsecured financings, involving real estate, mineral interests, inventory, accounts receivable, factoring, intangible properties and virtually every other type of asset.

He also specializes in fiduciary governance and responsibility, the Internal Revenue Code, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and other federal and state laws affecting compensation, retirement and health benefit plans.
“We’re glad to add Jason and his expertise to our group,” said James Howard, head of the firm’s tax practice group. “His experience in benefits and related tax matters will extend our ability to serve our clients on many issues.”
