BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Charles River Associates (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing economic, financial, and management consulting services, today announced that Colin Johnson has joined CRA’s Energy Practice in the London office. Mr. Johnson brings more than 20 years of experience related to energy and infrastructure particularly within the power, and oil and gas industries. He has also been involved in international arbitration as an expert for more than 10 years.

Mr. Johnson joins CRA from Grant Thornton UK, the world's seventh largest professional services network of independent accounting and consulting member firms, where he most recently served as Head of International Arbitration and Global Head of Energy and Environment. In these roles, he developed Grant Thornton's international arbitration business and acted as an expert witness on a variety of cases in energy and in other areas. He also advised on power projects in a number of different countries. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2004, Mr. Johnson was Project Director for a proposed new build power plant at EGE Haina, the largest power company in the Dominican Republic, and an Investment Manager at CDC Capital Partners (which became Actis, Globeleq and CDC), a multi-asset emerging market investor focusing on Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He earned his MBA from Warwick Business School, is an FCCA with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and received his Solicitors Finals from the College of Law, Chester (UK). He is multilingual and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.
