PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CashStar, the industry-leading provider of prepaid commerce solutions, today announced that new Los Angeles eatery Tsubaki is now live on the CashStar Commerce platform, which enables the restaurant to offer plastic and digital gift cards online. Tsubaki joins a growing list of LA restaurants using CashStar’s Consumer application to power their gift card programs, including République, Redbird and Broken Spanish.
“Whether it’s at the table or online, we want to add convenience to our guests’ lives wherever we can,” said Alexis Halejian, vice president, marketing and digital for Tsubaki’s partner company, Sprout LA. “With CashStar, gift cards have become part of our evergreen marketing strategy. We’ve already seen the success of the platform, so it was a no-brainer when opening Tsubaki to bring the same gifting experience to our Echo Park guests.”
Located in the LA neighborhood of Echo Park, Tsubaki was founded by Charles Namba, most recently of Thomas Keller’s Bouchon, and Courtney Kaplan, who worked at sake bar Decibel. Tsubaki is a classic izakaya, a style of informal tavern at the heart of Japanese dining tradition. True to its roots in classic Japanese technique and traditional ingredients, Tsubaki offerings include locally sourced fresh produce and fish from California coastal waters.
“We’re excited to add such a unique restaurant concept to our client roster,” said Terry Sutton, vice president of Client Success, CashStar. “Gift cards are not only a convenience for consumers, they also provide strategic marketing opportunities for restaurant brands to continue engaging guests following a dining experience. The CashStar platform will enable Tsubaki to execute a broad range of marketing programs to increase traffic and grow revenue across new and existing customers.”
