BUENOS AIRES, Argentina--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) Americas is hosting a technical conference on April 18, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as new contracts in Latin America have hit record levels.

- Details on record order year in Americas in new ACGT and other contracts for equipment and services. Introduction of the proven air cooled J-series turbine for the South American market. The MHPS M701JAC has a world record rating of 717MW, offering energy producers a revolutionary combined cycle efficiency of greater than 63 percent.
- Continued support from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to provide funding options for project developers across the region. JBIC will make a presentation at the MHPS event.
Announcement of Alexandre Aoki as President & CEO of MHPS South America and Edward Lasso as Senior Vice President for New Equipment Sales in Latin America as key executive staffing announcements to support business growth in the region. Combined these two executives have over thirty years of experience in the region, and have sold over 100 turbines in Latin America.
