WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following yesterday’s suspected chemical attacks in Syria, esteemed war correspondent, best-selling author and award-winning filmmaker Sebastian Junger and his Emmy award-winning producing partner Nick Quested have decided to release never-before-seen footage from their upcoming documentary feature, Hell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS. The film will be distributed by National Geographic Documentary Films, debut at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and air on the network in spring 2017.
WHAT: The enclosed 13-minute preview features a sneak peek of the feature documentary as well as extensive bonus outtake footage, including personal home video of a Syrian family’s desperate attempt to escape ISIS control.
The preview also includes a never-before-seen interview with embattled former National Security Advisor Gen. Michael T. Flynn, taped in 2016, who comments on the refugee crisis, saying, “We have to get back in there and stabilize the area, to the point where you can tell all these people who would rather live in their own homes. You can tell them all they can come back. Otherwise, the likelihood of a far greater conflict grows higher and higher every day.”
The preview is narrated by producer Sebastian Junger.
