CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Skyhigh Networks, the world’s leading Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), today announced the appointment of Slawomir Ligier as SVP of Engineering, Dheeraj Khanna as VP of Technical Operations and Anand Ramanathan as VP of Product Management.
“We have seen a surge in demand for CASB as a critical mass of companies prepare to go all-in on cloud, so we are thrilled to add three technology veterans who have successfully helped scale category-creating companies,” said Rajiv Gupta, co-founder and CEO, Skyhigh Networks. “Our new hires will be instrumental in guiding Skyhigh through a rapidly evolving market, where cloud-native solutions are replacing legacy enterprise IT technologies rapidly.”
The additions to the executive team will lead Skyhigh’s mission to deliver critical security products for organizations using cloud services. After being named a Leader in the category’s first objective evaluation and announcing the industry’s first infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solution, Skyhigh is poised to satisfy the increasing demand for CASB products. Each new member brings decades of technical experience scaling security companies from category creators to successful public companies:
Slawomir Ligier, SVP of Engineering and Operations
Ligier has decades of experience building cybersecurity solutions to protect people and businesses. He most recently served as the VP of Product Development at Barracuda Networks, where he helped develop easy-to-use products on the cutting edge of internet security. Prior to Barracuda, Ligier was the Chief Technology Officer at SafeNet, leading efforts to assure trust online. Before that, he worked to develop security for web users as the VP of Engineering at Verisign and Symantec.
“Skyhigh’s investments in innovation have resulted in a platform that leads the industry in breadth and depth of functionality, including a solution for IaaS that broke new ground for CASB,” said Ligier. “I look forward to bringing my experience building cutting-edge security products to this talented team as CASB cements its status as a mandatory security technology.”
Dheeraj Khanna, VP of Technical Operations
Khanna brings over 20 years of experience leading technical operations at fast-growing, disruptive software companies. He joins Skyhigh from OneLogin, where he built a team from the ground up as the VP of Technical Operations. He previously led technical operations at Workday and Zoosk, where he established reliable and efficient cloud-based platforms across millions of users.
“Skyhigh’s CASB platform processes cloud traffic from over 700 enterprise customers representing 25 million end users and enforces policy-based controls in near-real-time, which is an impressive feat of scale,” said Khanna. “I’m thrilled to apply my experience at game-changing companies towards Skyhigh’s mission to scale to meet rapidly growing industry demand, while providing customers with the highest standard of trust and privacy.”
Anand Ramanathan, VP of Product Management
Ramanathan brings over 20 years of enterprise SaaS product experience ranging from high growth startups to established market leaders. Ramanathan joins Skyhigh from Proofpoint, where he played a key role in pivoting the company into a cybersecurity leader. Prior to Proofpoint, he led product management for over six years at Cisco WebEx and before that served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
“Skyhigh met the key criteria to become an industry leader: articulate a disruptive vision for the industry, deliver the first product, relentlessly innovate to add distance with followers and execute with customer-obsessed design,” said Ramanathan. “Having helped startups grow to define new categories, I am enthusiastic about the path ahead as CASB transitions from the cutting edge to the mainstream.”
