Athene Holding Joins Russell 1000 Index

PEMBROKE, Bermuda--()--Athene Holding Ltd., a Bermuda-based insurance holding company (“Athene Holding,” and together with its subsidiaries, “Athene”), announced today that it was added to the Russell 1000 index, effective after the equity markets closed on March 31, 2017. The Russell 1000 index is comprised of the largest 1,000 companies that are in the various Russell indexes.

Russell Investments reconstituted U.S. and global equity indexes to include recent Initial Public Offerings (IPO)s at market close on March 31, 2017. The Russell Indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors as index funds and benchmarks for both active and passive investment strategies. Approximately $5.7 trillion in assets are benchmarked against the Russell indexes.
