IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vizient, Inc. today announced the product categories and suppliers participating in its Quarter 2 National Group Buys Program available April 1 through June 30, 2017. Vizient’s innovative National Group Buys Program is one of several strategic programs designed to deliver additional savings each quarter to the member hospitals it serves.
Philips Healthcare, the featured supplier for Quarter 2, is offering savings opportunities across 16 capital and imaging categories including: cardiovascular imaging systems, c-arms, CT scanner systems, external defibrillators, general radiographic and fluoroscopy equipment, hemodynamic and electrophysiology monitors, infant care equipment, mammography, MRI peripherals, MRI systems, non-invasive cardiology, PACS and imaging informatics, patient monitoring, PET-CT systems, radiation treatment planning software and ultrasound systems.

All equipment noted for the Quarter 2 group buys will be available to all Vizient members including customers served by MedAssets’ Spend and Clinical Resource Management business, which was acquired by Vizient in February 2016
During this group buys period, in addition to price reductions, some suppliers are offering additional value in the form of extended warranties, training, leasing options, financing options, POS service discounts, upgrades and trade-in allowances.
Since 2005, members and affiliates served by Vizient have purchased more than $5.7 billion across 190 product categories, with more than $1.4 billion in savings via the group buys program. In 2016, Vizient members realized over $358 million in savings alone.
