He also played a leadership role in the development and implementation of Pitzer’s new four-course Social Justice and Intercultural Understanding requirement for students.
As a teacher and mentor at Pitzer, Boyle has been active in working with students applying for prestigious fellowships. In 2015, the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board named him the top Fulbright adviser. He is also the president of Aston Villa Football Club, Upper Prison, Luzira, Uganda.
