OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.M. Best is pleased to announce that an international version of its online SRQ for rated companies and groups located outside of the United States and Canada is now live. The online SRQ is accessible within the Client Rating Portal (portal), which is located at portal.ambest.com and was introduced earlier this year. This release for international companies is a follow-up to the initial release on March 15, 2017, which was for companies located in the United States and Canada.
The online SRQ is designed for an administrator, or those who have been delegated with the administrative rights, to complete an Initial Questionnaire, which is used to suppress certain SRQ questions and exhibits that do not pertain to that particular rating unit or company. Once the Initial Questionnaire is completed, the administrator(s) is able to view all required SRQ questions and exhibits and is also able to assign access to complete specific or all SRQ questions to other individuals within their organization, as well as third-party business partners. The administrator(s) also is able to assign SRQ questions to others based on email addresses.
To assist users of the online SRQ, there are several short tutorial videos and FAQs located on the portal homepage. The brief videos provide users with an overview of the Initial Questionnaire process; demonstrate how to assign individuals access to specific or all SRQ questions; and explain how to access and submit the SRQ to A.M. Best when completed. The portal also contains a set of detailed instructions on how to complete the exhibits.
A.M. Best is requesting that administrators submit the completed filing within the portal by April 30, 2017. However, in the event there is an alternative fiscal year-end reporting date different from that of Dec. 31, 2016, the requested completion date generally is 10 weeks following the rated entity’s fiscal year-end close, although companies can discuss with their respective A.M. Best analytical team potential alternative filing dates.
