DCiM Solutions Acquires IIS Group; Both Companies Brand as Critical Environments Group

Adoption of CEG better reflects newly-merged company’s focus on efficiency, reliability and innovation for all types of critical environments

GLASSBORO, N.J.--()--DCiM Solutions, LLC a leading provider of data center infrastructure management solutions and services, today announced the acquisition of IIS Group, which also provides infrastructure solutions for mission-critical environments. As a result of this acquisition, the combined organization has officially commenced a campaign to rebrand the standalone company as Critical Environments Group (CEG). CEG is unveiling the new company and brand at next week’s Data Center World Global 2017 in Los Angeles.

“It was a very logical move for DCiM to join forces with IIS and subsequently brand as one cohesive company,” says Mike McClain, Chief Executive Officer of Critical Environments Group and the former CEO of DCiM Solutions. “This acquisition greatly enhanced and broadened the offerings and client base of both organizations. Likewise, with satellite offices now on both coasts and throughout the southern United States, the reach of CEG is far more expansive than either company could have achieved on its own.”

The new name and brand better communicates that both companies have optimized operations for all types of critical environments. CEG offers solutions that address facility design; Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM); cabinets; airflow and cooling; power distribution and protection; space and media storage; leak detection, monitoring and alerting; security; and aisle containment. In addition to data centers of all sizes, CEG improves efficiencies and ensures reliability for distributed IT environments, computer rooms, central offices, and edge computing environments.

In support of its branding as CEG, the company has unveiled its new website at criticaleg.com. The former companies’ websites will now redirect customers to the new site.

“When two well-respected and successful organizations come together to combine their services and solutions, as well as extensive vendor relationships, the result is a new standard quickly being set in the mission-critical space,” says Mario Figurelle, Senior Vice President of Critical Environments Group. “CEG is in the greatest possible position to aid our customers with optimizing any facet of critical environment operations.”

Other than providing an expanded offering that includes additional solutions and product vendors to choose from, DCiM Channel Partners will see no change in their day-to-day contact with CEG. Similarly, IIS’s account executives and engineers will also be able to offer more comprehensive offerings. From assessment and design, to proprietary monitoring solutions, to custom-built containment, CEG will offer customers end-to-end solutions.
