Accomplished aerospace and defense veteran joins company’s executive leadership team

CHANTILLY, Va.--()--Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:EGL), today announced that Scott Whatmough has been appointed senior vice president of the Defense Group business. With 35 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, Whatmough will lead Engility’s team that delivers highly technical solutions and engineering services in support of the Department of Defense.

“Scott is a highly-respected and accomplished leader with strong relationships in the Pentagon and the Hill, and he has proven experience growing businesses and developing high-performing teams,” said Lynn Dugle, chief executive officer of Engility. “As Engility completes its pivot from ‘low price, technically acceptable’ to a ‘best value’ provider, he will drive our Defense Group’s strategic shift to higher-end markets such as cybersecurity, enterprise modernization and other areas where we can differentiate our solutions.”
