SHOWCASE CINEMAS TO PARTICIPATE IN BEN & JERRY’S FREE CONE DAY!
National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry, announced today that for the first time it will participate in Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day. On April 4 from 12 p.m.-8 p.m., movie-goers at select locations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island are invited to visit the Ben & Jerry’s counter to receive a free ice cream cone. The offer is even sweeter since Free Cone Day falls on Bargain Tuesday, when general admission price is reduced to $8.50 per ticket.
"We are delighted to be participating in Free Cone Day for the first year ever and are proud to be Ben & Jerry’s largest operator,” said Mark Malinowski, Vice President of Global Marketing for National Amusements. “As a progressive business, we share many values with Ben & Jerry's, including their commitment to showing appreciation to loyal customers.”
Ben & Jerry’s has been a strong advocate of such social causes as marriage equality, racial equity, climate justice, and ensuring that their ice cream is made the best way possible which includes sourcing Fairtrade and non-GMO ingredients. For the past 38 years, Ben & Jerry’s has used Free Cone Day to thank customers for their loyalty and support and as a reminder that giving back to the community is just as sweet as free ice cream.
The following Showcase Cinemas locations will participate in Free Cone Day.
- Massachusetts: Dedham, Foxboro, Lowell, Millbury, Randolph, Revere, Worcester
- New Jersey: Edgewater
- New York: Bronx, Brooklyn, Farmingdale, Holtsville, Jamaica, White Plains, Whitestone, Yonkers
