RICS awards Mr Tony Tse with distinguished Lifetime Achiever recognition

HONG KONG--()--The annual RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Awards, Hong Kong recognised the region’s most successful real estate teams and developments in the property sector. Companies and individuals received 36 awards at the sixth annual RICS dinner and presentation ceremony, held 17 March 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

Guest of honour Mr Eric Ma, JP, Secretary for Development, Hong Kong SAR Government, kicked off the ceremony with a speech recognising chartered surveyors for their significant contributions to the built environment. Mr Ma shared his viewpoints on Hong Kong’s future urban development and growth, detailing the Government’s “Hong Kong 2030: Planning and Vision Strategy.”

“This event showcased the city’s most dynamic and accomplished real estate, construction and development teams,” said Mr Clement Lau FRICS, Chair of RICS Hong Kong Board. “The RICS Awards recognise and encourage the greatest achievements in Hong Kong’s built environment, and the award winners are a testament to the continued success and increasing competitiveness of Hong Kong’s real estate sector.”

The RICS annual Lifetime Achiever Award was presented to Mr Tony Tse Wai Chuen, BBS, Founder and Director of Brand Star Limited. The RICS jury panel noted Mr Tse’s dedication to serving his professional communities, academic bodies, and the public at large as a member of numerous Hong Kong associations’ boards and advisory committees, and his 2014 Bronze Bauhinia Star recognition made him an exemplary candidate and role model for surveying professionals.

“Surveyors have played a critical role in the marvellous development of Hong Kong over the past few decades, and it is my great honour to accept the Lifetime Achiever Award from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors,” said Mr Tse.

RICS is devoted to attracting the highly skilled young professionals to the industry. The organisation fosters young surveyors through career advice opportunities and recognises exceptional achievements of its young talents through programmes such as RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Award.
