“We’re proud to be able to bring FanX back again this year and give our fans what they want,” said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Founder and Show Producer. “We were a little unsure if we were going to be able to be to do FanX this year, and are pleased that everything worked out and that it’s happening in such a big way. We feel this is one of our strongest lineups in terms of celebrities, artists and authors, and are pleased of be able to make it so affordable to our fans.”
FanX 2017 is being dedicated to the late Carrie Fisher. Fisher was a guest at FanX 2015 and is a fan favorite for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movie series. Commissioned poster art is available with 100 percent of proceeds going to Make-A-Wish, one of the late Ms. Fisher’s favorite charities.
FanX 2017 is designed to be a show for the fans. FanX 2017 will be more affordable, providing many of the elements fans have come to love and expect, while offering a number of new features to enable fans to get closer to and spend more time with their favorite celebrities, authors, artists and comicbook creators.
In addition to celebrities, authors, artists and comicbook creators, FanX will feature a number of new features, including special Cosplay activities and contests, new merchandise, exclusive features like the Sword Experience, Tattoo Pavilion and official Stan Lee merchandise.
“As organizers we look forward to our events just as much as the fans do and we’ve had as much fun planning this event as any of our past events,” said Bryan Brandenburg, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re confident fans will enjoy FanX 2017 and the new feature we’ve added this year.
