The Challenger Agency Asks Students to Pen Creative Blog Post in Exchange for Online Recognition, Digital Marketing Tools

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--()--Wpromote, one of the nation’s leading digital marketing agencies, today announced the 2017 Wpromote Digital Marketing Scholarship. The scholarship fosters student engagement and enthusiasm in the fast-growing field in two unexpected ways. The application takes the form of a creative blog post, and the prize includes what every digital marketer needs: a brand-new, cutting-edge laptop.

The first-place scholarship winner will receive a brand-new MacBook Pro to help them ace classes and master the art of digital marketing. The winner will also receive $500 in cash to put toward his or her education and digital workbench. Following the announcement, Wpromote will publish the winner’s entry on the agency’s digital marketing blog, boosting the digital reputation of the winner for years to come. Second- and third-place winners will receive $750 and $500 in cash, respectively.

Students are asked to write a blog post describing how they would create and execute a unique digital marketing campaign for their respective schools. To develop their entries, students must consider the several branches of digital marketing, including paid search and SEO, as well as digital platforms, devices and strategies. Applications will be judged based on originality (40 percent), professionalism (40 percent) and academic standing (20 percent).

How to Apply

Applicants must write a 500-word minimum blog post that creatively answers the question: “If you were going to run a digital marketing campaign for your school, what would it look like?” Students must submit their entry through the online scholarship portal at http://www.wpromote.com/scholarship. The submission deadline is April 28, 2017.

Applicant Criteria

Applicants are required to provide undergraduate or graduate transcripts showing proof of a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA. Entrants must be legal U.S. residents and currently enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the U.S.
