NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Tubefilter and Snakt announced BEST VINES EVER, a final celebration for the creators, content, and community of Vine. Fans can view and vote on their favorite Vine content from dozens of popular influencers, such as King Bach, Josh Peck, Brittany Furlan, and Jake and Logan Paul. The month-long celebration will result in a fan-voted Top 100 countdown, along with a fun-filled awards ceremony at NeueHouse Hollywood on April 10, 2017, featuring special category awards chosen by judges. Entries to the contest open today, and fan voting will begin this Friday, March 17.
“Vine creators and fans gave rise to the most viral internet memes of all time,” said Drew Baldwin, founder of Tubefilter and the Streamy Awards. “With BEST VINES EVER, we are bringing the Vine community together to celebrate its creativity and contributions with one massive, final sendoff. In short—we’re going out with a bang.”
To participate, any former Vine creator can fill out an entry form, and their Vines—complete with original captions—will be available on the Snakt app for fans to vote. Fans can vote with just one touch of a Vote button, or by quickly creating a “stack” of videos as a compilation.
“Tubefilter created the Streamy Awards, so they are the ideal host for a celebration of the Vine community. We are honored to partner with them on this awesome contest and bring back this amazing content for everyone to watch again. Plus you can make a compilation of Vines in only a few seconds through the Snakt app,” said Jess Turner, director of community at Snakt. “We’re looking forward to seeing how fans vote, including all the amazing compilations and remixes. It’s going to be a fierce competition for the top spots.”
