KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--()--Recovery Centers of America (RCA), the fastest-growing provider of inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs in the United States, announced it has appointed Rich Smith as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Smith brings to RCA over 25 years of experience leading marketing teams, largely within mortgage, banking, insurance, and financial organizations including Ditech Financial LLC, where he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer, leading the brand’s re-launch, building the company's brand position to be the second highest among independent mortgage companies, and achieving the third highest rank on the J.D. Power Mortgage Origination Satisfaction Study – the first year Ditech was ranked. Prior to his experience at Ditech, Smith served as Chief Marketing Officer of AIG Bank and managed teams in marketing, branding, and product development with top-tier institutions such as MBNA America/Bank of America.

In his role as Chief Marketing Officer at RCA, Smith leads a team of professionals responsible for the marketing and branding strategy behind the company’s top-of-the-line detoxification, inpatient, outpatient, and ongoing recovery services that continuously set a standard for the industry.

RCA currently operates four five-star treatment centers based in New England and the Mid-Atlantic region offering individualized treatment programs designed to keep patients in the neighborhoods and communities that love and support them. The organization plans to open its first treatment center in Pennsylvania in the heart of the Main Line at the site of the former Devon Manor. Upon completion, the facility will offer 250 rehabilitation and detox beds, along with 42 sober living beds. By 2018, Recovery Centers of America is projected to have over 1,000 rehabilitation, detox, and sober living beds across its footprint.
