MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS) proudly announces that its founder and CEO Mahfuz Ahmed has been named to the Aspen Institute’s 2017 Class of Henry Crown Fellows.
“We are especially delighted with this year’s class of Henry Crown Fellows, the 21st since the Fellowship was founded,” said Peter Reiling, executive director of the program. “For society, they represent a potent force of talent, ready to focus their energies on some of the greatest challenges of our times.”
Henry Crown Fellows spend four (4) weeks over the course of two (2) years in structured retreats – exploring leadership, core values, their vision for a “Good Society” and their desired legacies. But the Fellowship is not just about reflection. It is also about action: Each Fellow launches a new Venture that will stretch them and have a positive impact on their communities, their country, or the world.
Fellows are chosen through a program at The Aspen Institute in Washington, DC – an education and policy studies organization whose mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues.
“I am looking forward to the experience and knowledge this program will produce,” Mr. Ahmed remarked. “The group of professionals in this year’s class showcases a wide range of expertise and experience. I know we will all develop stronger leadership characteristics because of it.”
At DISYS, Mr. Ahmed has proven his forward-thinking leadership through a variety of game-changing endeavors. Recently his efforts in molding a new mission, new vision and new set of core values policy for DISYS and a host of other strategic changes landed him on the Staffing Industry Analyst list of Top 100 Influencers.
Also, Mr. Ahmed gave the company’s Global Vice President of HR, Laura Smith, the freedom to expand upon important employee programs like, parental leave, culture transformation, job satisfaction and powerful hiring practices.
“Executives are facing more challenges and sensitivities than any other time in history,” Ahmed said. “Understanding how to develop the winds of change to have a positive impact on the business and on employees is crucial to successful leadership. And I am looking forward to applying some of these lessons learned to my time as a Crown Fellow.”
