WHAT:

  The Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Sports Innovation Conference brings together sports business professionals with Stanford students, alumni, and faculty to showcase and discuss the ideas and organizations that are creating the future of sports .
 

The full-day conference will include opening and closing keynote sessions along with breakout panel discussions. The full agenda includes:

 

Opening Keynote Session with Sam Hinkie – Hinkie, the former general manager of the Philadelphia 76ers, will be interviewed by Henry Abbott, ESPN senior writer and founder of TrueHoop.

China’s Impact on the Sports Landscape – Understanding the opportunities and challenges in the China sports market and how this region might influence other constituents over the coming decade.

Venues in the 21st Century – Exploring new technologies that are enhancing the in-arena experience for fans, as well as the challenges and costs of designing a stadium to incorporate all of these innovations.

Future of Sports Media – Understanding the technologies and trends that may transform sports media consumption and distribution and how various players in the industry will play a part.

Innovation Showcase – Representatives from showcased companies will provide participants with an opportunity to see and demo a selection of cutting-edge products focused on sports, ranging from wearables to smart equipment to software solutions.

Closing Keynote Session: A Conversation with Ted Leonsis – Leonsis is the founder, chairman, majority owner, and CEO of Monumental Sports.
