Academy Securities Announces Key Senior Equity Division Hires

NEW YORK--()--Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer certified as a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) today announced the addition of Skip D’Aliso and James Schneider to its Equities Division. Mr. D’Aliso and Mr. Schneider will also be working with Academy’s equity research partner, Alembic Global Advisors to provide equity research and corporate access events to Academy’s institutional clients. Mr. D’Aliso will be a Managing Director and senior equity salesman and Mr. Schneider will be a Managing Director and equity sales trader.

Mr. D’Aliso and Mr. Schneider bring over 50 years of combined Wall Street experience and extensive relationships within the investment management industry.

Mr. D’Aliso has over 25 years of experience in equity research sales including positions in product, account and sales management. Earlier in his career, at ABN Amro, he led the daily coordination of over 400 equity research analysts in 30 different countries to create one of the most highly regarded 24/7 global research platforms in the securities industry. After ABN Amro, he led efforts in both London and New York for Lehman to drive global product and account management capabilities. He then joined Wachovia, where for over 10 years at Wachovia and then Wells Fargo Securities he was involved in generalist equity sales and then established a specialized REIT marketing effort for Wells Fargo Securities, leading to significant share gains in secondary trading and the banking league tables.

Mr. Schneider has spent nearly 25 years in financial services, with significant equity sales trading experience at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and Lazard Freres & Co. For nearly seven years, he managed Brown Brothers Harriman’s Global Execution Management Services trading desk, which provided equity, option and fixed income execution capabilities to the firm’s international client base. He has a B.S. in Economics from King’s College, where he serves on the college’s Board of Directors, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University.
