WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Former Arnall Golden Gregory Partner Thomas B. Pahl, one of the most highly regarded consumer regulatory lawyers in Washington, will be the new Acting Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection.
Earlier in his career, Tom worked at the FTC as Assistant Director in the Bureau of Consumer Protection’s Division of Financial Practices and Advertising Practices. He also is a former Attorney Advisor to FTC Commissioner Orson Swindle and FTC Commissioner Mary Azcuenaga.
At Arnall Golden Gregory, Tom was a leading lawyer in the Privacy and Consumer Regulatory Practice and was frequently quoted in the press about consumer protection and regulatory issues. He worked in the firm’s Washington office.

In his new role in Washington, Tom will be responsible for managing the Bureau of Consumer Protection, including its privacy work. The Bureau employs more than 400 attorneys.
