ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Family Care Partners (FCP) announced today that Eastern North Carolina Medical Group, P.L.L.C. (ENCMG) will join its rapidly growing network of independent primary care providers. ENCMG operates five primary care facilities and an oncology practice in eastern North Carolina.
“This acquisition represents FCP’s entry into the state of North Carolina, and will serve as a building block to establish a larger presence in the state,” said Thomas Watson, President and CEO of Family Care Partners. Watson also added, “ENCMG is a successful primary care practice with a great team, we are excited to partner with this leading practice and support their needs.”
“The structure of the FCP model was very appealing,” stated two of the owners, Charles Hunter, PA, and Jenee Bowman, MD. “It was important to us that our providers could retain control over patient care, but at the same time leverage the strength and expertise of a larger, sophisticated organization.” Dr. Dan Crocker, a practicing provider and founder of ENCMG also commented, “FCP is unique, they appreciate that most independent providers want to retain their clinical autonomy, but just don’t want to deal with the headache of the increasing administrative burdens. We were thrilled to learn that this option existed.”
