Hall-of-Famers Tim Raines and Ryne Sandberg to Appear at 2017 Chicago Golf Show®

CHICAGO--()--Baseball legends Tim Raines and Ryne Sandberg will highlight a Hall-of-Fame Weekend at the Chicago Golf Show® Presented by French Lick Resort, Feb. 24-26, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

Raines, who played for the White Sox from 1991-95, was selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Jan. 17. Raines will be formally inducted at Cooperstown, New York on July 30. This will be his first Chicago appearance since his selection.

Raines, who served as first base coach for the 2005 World Series Champion White Sox, is scheduled to appear on the Daily Herald Main Stage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.

Sandberg, a prodigious hitter who played a near-flawless second base for the Cubs until his retirement in 1997, entered the Hall in 2005.

Sandberg is scheduled to appear on the Daily Herald Main Stage at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.

Both men are avid golfers and, like many retirees, play frequently now that they have more time.

“The Chicago Golf Show® is thrilled and honored to have Hall-of-Famers Tim Raines and Ryne Sandberg as our special guests at this year’s show,” said show operator Tom Corcoran. “We think our attendees are going to love it.”
