HBR Consulting Gains Expert Contract Lifecycle Management Professional, Lauryn Haake

Latest Hire Demonstrates HBR’s Commitment to Holistically Supporting Corporate Clients

CHICAGO--()--HBR Consulting LLC (HBR), a trusted advisor to law firms and corporations worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Lauryn Haake as a managing director, specializing in contract lifecycle management (CLM). The addition of Haake fortifies HBR’s current enterprise contract lifecycle management services, a growing area of importance for corporate clients.

Haake comes to HBR with nearly two decades of experience in technology and eight years of operations consulting experience, building a strong industry reputation for leading and delivering CLM technology solutions. Most recently, Haake worked at Duff & Phelps, where she led a contract lifecycle management consulting team focused on leading corporations through technology implementations, process design and CLM program management. She also brings substantial experience in legal matter management and e-billing, entity management, document management and claims management solutions.

Contract lifecycle management solutions are a growing area of focus for corporate law departments as they look to technology to manage increasing legal demands and keep more work in-house. According to the 2016 HBR Law Department Survey, CLM was ranked highly as an area for planned technology implementations over the next two years. With the addition of Haake, HBR is expanding the scope of its CLM service offerings, and anticipates continued growth in this area of critical market need.

“As our clients continue to work towards increasing efficiency and operational performance, they are seeking more sophisticated contract lifecycle management capabilities. Lauryn’s deep industry experience and strong vendor relationships will strengthen our CLM practice,” said Kevin Clem, leader of HBR’s Law Department Consulting practice. “Lauryn’s knowledge and expertise enables us to combine the strength of our corporate contracts strategy and process-focused team with a recognized industry leader in CLM automation and optimization. Her unique blend of contract lifecycle management experience, legal operations and technology and will allow us to explore additional opportunities in the enterprise, expanding our services beyond corporate law departments to other related business functions.”

Haake has a diverse background that spans across industries and organizations, including law firms, a Fortune 500 corporation, legal software companies, as well as consulting firms. A skilled problem solver, she has used her unique work experience to blend process and technology to develop solutions tailored for client success. Located in Houston, Haake is part of HBR’s expanding team in the south, and is positioned to serve HBR’s current and future clients in the region.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a reputable and growing team of industry experts,” said Haake. “My experience in contract lifecycle management, law department operations and change management complements HBR’s leadership in the market. Together, we are committed to leading our clients to more efficient and effective business operations by taking a holistic approach to technology strategy, planning and implementation, process optimization and benchmarking.”

As a recognized thought leader in CLM, Haake is a frequent speaker and author on the topic. She will be attending LegalTech New York on January 31 through February 2 along with other HBR legal technology industry experts.
