HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Brett Young, a complex commercial litigation lawyer, has returned to its Houston office as a partner. He started his legal career with Norton Rose Fulbright in 2003, advancing to partner before departing to K&L Gates LLP in 2014.
Young focuses his practice on catastrophic event response, personal injury defense, premises defense, product liability defense and environmental litigation. He defends product manufacturers and petrochemical facilities in toxic exposure lawsuits, managing a docket of several dozen cases involving alleged exposure to benzene, butadiene, ionizing radiation, chlorinated solvents and other industrial chemicals.
Daryl Lansdale, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, said:
“Brett became an exceptional litigator during his first decade with Norton Rose Fulbright, and we are happy to welcome him back. We are confident that he will contribute immediately to our toxic tort and product liability practice.”
Richard Krumholz, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Head of Dispute Resolution and Litigation, commented:
“Brett has taken on many challenging cases throughout his career, as clients come to him to produce positive results. His experience bolsters our robust litigation practice, further increasing our ability to handle our clients’ most complex disputes.”
Young, who also counsels clients in disaster and crisis response and risk management, said:
“I am energized to come home and continue my practice with Norton Rose Fulbright. My experience in complex commercial disputes is a great match for this litigation powerhouse, and I look forward to collaborating again with such accomplished and respected litigators.”
Young, who is licensed to practice in Texas and Louisiana, received his JD from the University of Houston Law Center and his BBA in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
