The corrected release reads:
FGX INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASES POGOCAM™ READY SUNGLASS STYLES, AN INNOVATIVE COLLABORATION WITH POGOTEC™, AT CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW.
PogoCam™ wearable camera is available on an assortment of fashion-forward Foster® Grant sunglasses
FGX International INC, (www.FGXI.com), the world’s leading designer and marketer of non-prescription reading glasses and sunglasses, will showcase an innovative collaboration between its hallmark brand, Foster Grant®, and PogoTec™ (www.PogoTec.com), a leader in electronic wearable device enablement, at the January 5th ShowStoppers media event during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The showcase will include PogoCam™, the world’s smallest wearable camera attachable to eyewear that is easily attachable and detachable to Foster Grant sunglasses via a PogoTrack™ design. Both PogoCam™ and PogoTrack™ are innovations of PogoTec™.
“The collaboration between FGX International and PogoCam™ is the perfect solution for our customers who are seeking the latest eyewear innovations, but do not want to sacrifice their look,” said Robert Grow, EVP Product Development. “The styles we’ve developed with PogoCam™ represent a true turning point in both wearable technology and personal photography, allowing consumers to capture life’s moments with incredible style and ease.“
FGX International has created 12 skus, 6 different styles in 2 colors. The PogoCam™ is capable of taking up to 100 photos or two minutes of 720p HD video with audio. The PogoCam™ app enables smart camera technology including focus-free capabilities, auto-centering, and auto-alignment and rotation. PogoCam™ technology that is attached to a pair of Foster Grant sunglasses is intended to make hand-held image capturing obsolete – also eliminating the need for a viewfinder when using the camera. PogoCam™ is water resistant and weighs the equivalent of approximately 2 dimes. Upon inserting the PogoCam™ camera into a smart case captured images can be transferred wirelessly to one’s smart phone and then uploaded to one’s social site. Foster Grant sunglasses will retail at an MSRP of $25. When purchasing PogoCam™, the smart case and a pair of Foster Grant sunglasses with PogoTrack™, the bundled MSRP is $149.00
“PogoCam™ is absolutely ideal for eyewear and provides the ability to take photos or video simply by pointing one’s head,” said Richard Clompus, OD, FAAO, VP of Communications for PogoTec. “PogoCam™ provides HD quality while being made easier to use, more convenient and faster to access than your smart phone’s camera. Coupled with stylish Foster Grant sunglasses, this innovation makes it possible for the photographer to not only capture the moment but to more fully experience their lives.”
The Foster Grant and PogoCam™ product will be available to media to experience at the ShowStoppers press event on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6pm – 10pm at the Wynn Hotel’s Lafitte Ballroom.
