Environmentally Responsible Network Marketing Company Launches Travel Light, to Give Customers Deep Discounts on Travel and an Additional Way to Help the Environment

NORWALK, Conn.--()--Viridian International Management, LLC (“Viridian”), a leading network marketing company, today announced its Travel Light program, a discount travel membership club with a first-of-its-kind feature: All travel will be carbon neutral thanks to carbon offsets purchased by Viridian on its customers behalf.

Since 2009, Viridian has been changing the energy industry through its affordable, responsible energy offerings, and the company is ready to expand its hallmark belief that doing good doesn’t have to cost more, through additional customer options.

Viridian’s network of more than 22,000 Independent Associates will now be able to offer customers a subscription service that provides exclusive access to wholesale rates on hotels, car rentals, cruises and more – with the environmentally responsible twist that Viridian is known for.

“In addition to our responsible energy products, we are excited to be able to offer zero-carbon options for an $8 trillion industry,” said Viridian CEO Paul Booth. “Not only are we allowing customers to book discounted travel for family vacations, business trips and getaways, but we are also allowing them to do so while reducing their carbon footprint.”

The average family is responsible for 3,967 pounds of carbon emissions for just air travel alone. By purchasing carbon offsets on customers’ behalf, Viridian is ensuring that its Travel Light customers will be able to take to the skies—and more –guilt-free.

Travel Light customers will be giving back in another big way, too: Every Viridian customer helps bring dependable solar power to underserved regions around the world through Viridian’s Light the World program. Viridian will donate one day of power to a family in need for each of its energy and Travel Light members each month, with a goal of 1 million days of light in 2017. Viridian is also launching emPOWER Trip voluntourist journeys for customers and Associates who want to do more than travel.
