NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Group today announced the appointment of Jon Ewing as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Fitch Group, effective January 1, 2017. In this newly created position Mr. Ewing will oversee and develop marketing strategies for all of Fitch Group's businesses which include Fitch Ratings, Fitch Solutions, BMI Research and Fitch Learning. He will join the Fitch Group management team and report to Fitch Group President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Taylor.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ewing was Chief Marketing and Information Technology Officer at BMI Research. Mr. Ewing joined BMI Research in October 2014 from dunnhumby, the leading global customer science and marketing agency, where he worked in a variety of roles in marketing, communications, customer retention and loyalty for the retail sector. He has a degree in Philosophy & Mathematics from the University of Bristol and a Masters in Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh.
