WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--INFINIDAT, a leading provider of enterprise data storage solutions, today announced it has been honored with Boston Properties’ Innovation in Design Award for its new headquarters at 500 Totten Pond Road in Waltham, Mass. The award is bestowed annually to the Boston Properties customers who demonstrate leadership in thoughtful and innovative workplace design solutions. The awards are announced at the Boston Properties University (BPU) event, held this year on September 14 at The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
The Boston Properties’ Innovation in Design Award winners are determined by the BPU Board of Education after extensive tours of new office space within the Boston Properties portfolio. Over 30 new work space candidates were reviewed by the Board of Education. In presenting the award to INFINIDAT, the Board of Education cited the Company’s strong branding elements, attention to detail, and product design cues throughout the space.
“When the Boston Properties’ Board of Education suggested implementing the Innovation in Design Awards several years ago, I was immediately on board,” stated Bryan Koop, Executive Vice President, Boston Region for Boston Properties and the Chairman of BPU. “What better way to showcase design innovations and leadership shown by our clients than by using their new work spaces as best demonstrated practices and a learning experience for the next generation of leaders at Boston Properties.”
“The Board’s reaction when walking through INFINIDAT’s space was immediate,” stated Erin Braley, Associate Counsel at Boston Properties and the Director of the Board of Education. “As they moved throughout the space, they were immediately struck by the thoughtfulness of the design and how the space was a complete manifestation of INFINIDAT’s culture, brand and mission. The space told the INFINIDAT story and made everyone want to work there.”
INFINIDAT designed its new 23,000 square foot space to be open, bright, modern and ergonomic, and to provide a variety of spaces for creativity, brainstorming, individual and team project work, and even recreation.
“Our exponential growth spurred the move of our headquarters to new space that is triple the size of our previous location,” said Randy Arseneau, Chief Marketing Officer at INFINIDAT. “We devoted a great deal of planning and energy to creating an office space that includes a solution center where our customers can see the latest in our technological developments, and an environment in which our employees will not only want to work, but will also thrive.”
The Boston Properties’ Innovation in Design Award was launched in 2013 at the 10th annual BPU. Past winners include: Google, Biogen Idec, AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Constant Contact, Broad Institute, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Boston Properties University is an annual event designed to “share the knowledge” with the Company’s associates, customers, and vendors. 2016 Speakers were:
