LOS ANGELES--()--Two of the country’s most prolific political minds from both sides of the partisan aisle return to Crystal Cruises as guest enrichment speakers to illuminate the nuances of the heated presidential campaigns and the 2016 elections results. Democratic strategist James Carville and republican strategist Mary Matalin (who are married) will lead individual and joint presentations during which they’ll share their veteran perspectives and engage with the audience for additional discussion on Crystal Symphony’s 13-day sailing from Sydney to Bali, departing February 10, 2017.

“Our guests are savvy and inquisitive travelers who relish great debate on topics that are globally relevant,” says Crystal’s chairman, CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez. “These are two of the most veteran players in the political realm and we are thrilled to welcome them back on board. Given the impassioned election cycle we just experienced, their expert insights will certainly stimulate some riveting discussion amongst guests.”

The political duo’s respective resumes are veritable roadmaps of the country’s election cycles for the past 30 years. Prior to acting as a go-to media pundit, Carville helped lead President Bill Clinton’s victory against President George H.W. Bush in 1992. Meanwhile, on the other side of the proverbial aisle that year, Matalin’s career was rising with her prominent role in the Bush campaign, which she followed up with terms advising President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney in the White House.

The 13-day sailing departs Sydney on February 10, cruising the eastern coast of Australia with visits to Brisbane, Hamilton Island, Cairns and Darwin, and cruising the Indonesian Archipelago en route to Bali.

Aboard Crystal’s award-winning ocean vessels, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, innovative and entertaining enrichment has long been a cornerstone of guests’ cruise experiences. Enlightening presentations from some of the world’s preeminent experts in world affairs, politics, medicine, business, finance, history and other fields are available on every itinerary.
